Amicis Italian for "friends" actually got its start in Rockland County, New York, when David Dashi worked as a chef at a restaurant called Amicis. After moving to the Space Coast when family members retired to the area, Dashis dream of opening his own Amicis came true. Since 2007 the restaurant has been a local favorite, serving traditional Italian dishes, gourmet pizza, creative housemade specialties, and desserts made by Maria at the Amici's Bakery.
